So ExSIDING!

Don't act like you didn't chuckle at the blog headline, even bad puns can be mildly amusing. So much has happened in the last few weeks! Obviously, by the cheesy blog headline, siding started! Which as our neighbor, Steve says is like our house getting some new clothes! We have also had a lot of progress made with plumbing and electrical and the decks are progressing bit by bit every day. Pay attention to some of the very cool custom detailing on how the cedar deck beams are inlaid together...it's amazing craftsmanship. We also have some eco-friendly additions to the house which you can see behind Dan as he poses in the attic. The strange blue/green coating is supposed to help make our house super energy efficient, something that we are trying to be smart about when we can.
We have also started thinking about interior finishes...it's time to pick out tile and look at lighting. It's exhausting and fun all at the same time.
Brian, our builder, continues to move things along at a rapid pace making us wonder if we might be in our house by the date he originally told us (May'ish')??? All in all, it's still a lot of fun and we just cannot wait to come home in the evenings to see what happened over the course of the day!
