Thanks to everyone for their concerned calls, emails, texts, etcetera. We were very lucky that the tornado that touched down in downtown Atlanta last Friday night narrowly missed Grant Park. Cabbagetown, which is the neighborhood just north of us, was severely damaged by the storm as was downtown & parts of East Atlanta.
Dan and I were out in Kirkwood having drinks when Cam & Claire, all the way in Seattle, called to check on us. We had no idea anything had happened, however we saw significant damage along Memorial Drive as we made our way home. Our hearts go out to our neighbors who suffered the brunt of the storm's damage. This picture was taken on Saturday in Cabbagetown. This is only a small example of what happened to many people's homes.
